Jorge Méndez Blake is a Mexican conceptual artist living and working in Guadalajara. His art uses a wide range of mediums, from pencil drawing and oil painting to model making and large scale installations, and is distinguished by its innovative use of literary references. Inspired by famous writers of the past two centuries and equipped with an architectural background, his projects fuse literature with architecture and the visual arts. Méndez Blake’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in his native Mexico, the United States, Canada, several European countries, Australia and New Zealand.
