Costas began as a stylist for Greece's leading design magazines until a three-year detour through Meteorology, a military draft, and a notebook filled at 2 a.m. convinced him that the real work was elsewhere. That elsewhere turned out to be the internet, years before the design world took it seriously. In 2006, from an army barracks in Greece, he founded Yatzer—a name borrowed from a childhood nickname—with five dollars and no plan beyond staying connected to the things he loved.

What began as an act of self-expression evolved into one of the world's most respected design destinations: a platform celebrated by the Financial Times, British Vogue, Elle Decor, and Architectural Digest, which named him one of the hundred most influential people in the design industry. Built without advertising, outside investment, or a single paid keyword, Yatzer grew organically through instinct, taste, and the quiet authority that comes from meaning every word published.

Guided by the belief that beauty is not a luxury but a way of seeing, Yatzer continues to explore the many ways design shapes our lives, curating soulful interiors, talented creatives, and immersive destinations where atmosphere, authenticity, and artistry converge. Its motto: Live Beautifully. Explore Endlessly.

Beyond the platform, Costas has built a creative practice that spans some of the most iconic names in design, fashion, hospitality, and culture. His collaborations include Mercedes-Benz, Gucci, Bulgari, Loro Piana, Dom Pérignon, Veuve Clicquot, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bombay Sapphire and Mateus Ceramics, among others. He served as Curator of the Shop at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens. In 2020, he founded Yatzerlab, a creative studio working at the intersection of design, brand identity, and storytelling.

Through all of it, Costas has continued to shape every story on Yatzer—not as a matter of control, but out of conviction—alongside a close-knit team that shares his belief that a platform is only as alive as the passion of the people behind it. He started with a five-dollar domain and a notebook. Two decades later, the notebook is still open; only now, the world keeps turning its pages.

Eric David

Managing Editor

Architect by training, writer by inclination, humorist by nature, Eric has been juggling multiple disciplines for as long as he can remember. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, he moved to London at 18—ostensibly to study architecture, but mostly to immerse himself in the Anglo-Saxon way of life. A decade, two Master’s degrees, and several professional ventures later, he found himself back in pre-crisis Athens, working as a lighting architect.

Today, Eric balances his architectural expertise with a passion for writing and cultural commentary. A firm believer in exceptional craftsmanship—whether in architecture, art, or design—Eric has been uncovering hidden creative gems and exploring contemporary culture as Managing Editor of Yatzer since 2016. With an insatiable curiosity and a passion for storytelling, he has found in Yatzer the perfect platform to celebrate artistry and innovation.
