Architect, Federico Pompignoli, began his studies at the Art School of Parma, continuing at the Fachhochschule of Potsdam and the Technical University of Berlin before graduating in Architecture from the Polytechnic of Milan in 2003. From graduation until 2005, Pompignoli collaborated with Guido Canali in Parma where he worked on various projects including on the design of the new Prada factory in Tuscany.
After working freelance for the next five years, 2010 saw him joining OMA. Since then, Pompignoli has worked on many architecture projects such the Il Fondaco dei Tedeschi, a retail/public space in Venice, Italy (currently under construction) and the Garage Gorky Park, a contemporary art museum in Moscow, Russia. He is OMA's Project Leader for the 28,340m2 museum gallery, Fondazione Prada in Milan, Italy.
Pompignoli has also worked on a number of exhibitions alongside OMA founder Rem Koolhaas and OMA Partner Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli, including OMA*AMO for/with Prada in Venice, Italy and Serial Classic in Milan, Italy.
