Fields series by Antonin Bachet & Linda Topic (BELGIUM)
//  part of Belgium is design
"These massive pieces of felt are produced by matting, condensing and pressing of woollen fibre. To make these adorned rugs, we use the ability of felt to merge two pre-felted coloured layers into one even surface. Following the aspiration of this ecological and energy-efficient technique, we designed patterns that resulted to a scrap-less and waste-free geometric cut." Antonin Bachet & Linda Topic

Piao 飘 -Paper Chair by INNOVO (CHINA)
// part of FUTURE TRADITION project by Christoph John, Jovana Bogdanovic, Zhang Lei
''Gluing layers of paper is the way how to make a traditional paper umbrella. Our Paper Seat is using the same craft. The paper layers are combined until the chair is strong enough to sit on, but is still keeping its flexibility. Hand made paper is rich of natural fibers that give strength to carry a person and is therefore our choice for this comfortable chair.''

While open, it is a recognizable chinese traditional paper craft shape, with plenty of small pockets. Those pockets can be filled with pens, scissors, tapes or any small stuff needed on the table. The materials that are used are the same like for a traditional Chinese umbrella – wood, rice paper and a bit glue..''

WAFFT table by t/m (Takaaki Tani / Kazunori Matsumura) (JAPAN)
The theme of the furniture is "waft"// They are made of plywood which is a hybrid between aluminum and beech wood. By compressing layers of the two, the result is thin yet flexible, each material compensating for the weaknesses of the other. The additional firmness is added by applying three-dimensional distortions, making it strong enough to support the weight. With a minimum amount of material used and with minimum processing, these airy products give an impressive lightness reminiscent of a leaf dancing in the air.

Bender by Paul Evermann (GERMANY)
''DIY furniture // The Idea was to design a stool that provides the opportunity of involving the customer into the designing process. The simple steel plate allows  to join different kinds and forms of used chair legs or just branches to generate individualized stools. By using cable ties the legs get joined to the seating plate.  To prevent the legs from buckling under heavy weight,  the construction is stabilized by four pre-stressed zip ties.  The cable ties allow a quick assembly of the stool without tools.  Due to the form of the seating plate Bender is stackable.''

At the one hand the “lower storey” stabilizes the construction and on the other hand it offers a comfortable platform for tying shoes. The bench can be disassembled and shipped very flat packed.''

Zip rugs by Mut Design (SPAIN)
ZIP RUGS is a set of rugs that allows the máximum amount of customising. The rugs are designed in a material which is treated with novel techniques that allow them to be washed and ironed easily, and they are made up of interlocking pieces that create amusing coloured hexagons, superimposed with triangular mathmatical shapes.  Made from 100% natural wool, ZIP rugs can be set up and dismantelled easily, as they are composed of straight, independent pieces, that interlock to form attractive patterns, in which the sides act as guides or instructions for setting them up. To obtain the perfect finish, the different pieces close with zips that allow optimum adjustment..

''Frames'' and ''Triangles'' by Sides Core (JAPAN)
// Sides Core >>> Sohei Arao and Sumiko Arao
''Frames'' is a line of furniture that creates a variety of moods, smoothly connecting front and back with twisted, flat steel bars. The steel composition is structurally sound, giving a different impression from each point of view. Each piece can be disassembled into a series of frames that can be easily flat packed. ''Triangles'' // The shape of these lamps results from triangular surfaces combining to form a polyhedron. With the stand type, light can be pointed in various directions within the triangular aperture’s range of motion. Triangular surfaces create different geometric forms from different perspectives from every angle.
