Created in 1999 by Fabien Bonillo, the Puces du Design are used to gather for 9 years a famous selection of antique dealers specialized in 20th century design : furniture, objects and fashion of the ‘50 to the ‘80. At the beginning, there were 10 French exhibitors; next spring, there will be 70 specialists among which a quarter of foreigners (German, English, Belgian, Spanish, Dutchman, Welsch, Swisses and American).
Settled for 1 year Quai de la Loire on the banks of the Bassin de la Villette (Paris 19°), the Puces du Design who were the first popular vintage market in Europe are each time a success because of its exhibitors selection : they are all impassioned and captivating and have their own personality : all together, they present the most complete panorama of 20th century design.
Another Puces du Design specificity is its visitor respect. The access is free and this allows to a large public to discover the most famous pieces of 20th century design. For 9 years now, the Puces du Design should have contributed to design familiarization. Moreover a rigorous control on pieces presented and prices practised make of the Puces du Design an ideal place where buying design.
