Refreshingly cool and with a certain industrial edge that we love, this brand new café and restaurant in Tbilisi, Georgia, by local design studio ROOMS ticks all the right boxes when it comes to creating the perfect contemporary dining ambience. The younger sister of the already established Strada restaurant, the new venue (also called Strada) serves American, Italian and Asian dishes, and is perhaps the best spot in town for breakfast with family. Situated on Tbilisi’s Marjanishvili Str. and right in the heart of the city, the new Strada was designed with respect to the building’s original character and feel: the ceilings were left untouched, allowing the concrete’s weathered textures to become part of the entire design. Meanwhile, simple furniture and a reserved use of colour compensate for the dramatic mirrors on either side of the dining hall and the flashy rose gold-hued chandeliers. ROOMS founders and designers Nata Janberidze and Keti Toloraia have also launched a new line of furniture during Milan Design Week, which is absolutely worth checking out.
