Gonçalo Campos is a young Portuguese product designer who Graduated in 2008 and joined Fabrica team, for a year. In 2009 he took an internship at Sam Baron's Studio and he is currently developing several objects, exploring it's possibilities.  He believes that design should be as simple as possible and he loves to discover new materials & fresh production methods. His latest collection of tables, was featured in the exhibition "More Than Parts" / "Mais que Partes", shown in the Fabrica features shop in Lisbon. A collection of tables made only by fabric and Wood, probably the most commonly used materials in an household.

They were designed to be assembled with no glues or external fixtures, other than the fabric. Their very primitive look comes from the respect for the materials and the use of simple construction techniques. The construction is finished by the fabric, used to bind the whole structure and render it stable.  Each table is directed at a different kind of use, from a high platform to isolate some dear relic to a low one to place a potted plant.

Despite their unique and curious look these objects are simple to construct, without recurring to glues or other modern elements, usually used to construct this kind of furniture. The fact that the whole construction is very understandable makes these objects reveal themselves, without any concealed materials covered in veneer or "Magically" glued parts. These are honest and openly reveal themselves, to be faced and appreciated for their essential qualities.
