We’ve seen their work before on Yatzer but as another collective; this time Rémi Bouhaniche and Amaury Poudray are back with new work from their Studio USIN-e. USIN-e is a label based out of Lyon, FRANCE created in September 2009 by the two abovementioned design entrepreneurs.
PAPA Stool was presented at MAISON et OBJET 2011 and is definitely a Yatzer –favorite! PAPA is part of a broader collection of fiber objects by USIN-e. PAPA appears to be a very cozy stool as it is made of synthetic fibers, horsehair and wood in collaboration with Brosserie JULIO. Brosseries JULIO are fiber specialist with 96 years of experience and are located in Nantes, FRANCE.
These stools aren’t less cozy than a traditional stool as someone might worry about how it is to be seated on fiber brush bristles. On the contrary, the bristles are soft, with a pleasant touch. They are currently available in three stylish colors - zinc white, cobalt blue, and mocha brown. The wooden leg part of PAPA stool is made of oak wood and currently available only in this wood, and/or color. Furthermore, there is a complimentary storage box which looks very similar to the stool seat. Who knows where their inspiration might have come from, maybe from a shoe brush cleaner? If you want to make your home cozier and warm for cold winter days then you should certainly consider PAPA as a furniture piece within your home or office.
