Words by the photographer Simon Høgsberg "The 100 meter long photo consists of 178 people walking towards and away from the camera under an open sky. The portraits we taken over 20 days from the same spot on a railroad bridge on Warschauer Strasse in Berlin - from 12 noon till 2 pm - so that I was certain that the light falling on the pedestrians was coming from the same angle. I took around 3000 portraits in all, and spent the following 17 months figuring out which people I wanted in the picture and which not and arranging them so that the whole thing looked completely natural. And now finally that piece is launched."
