Maria Filopoulou is a Greek painter born in 1964 in Athens. She studied painting at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts under the tutelage of Leonardo Cremonini, from 1984-1988. She then did a Master's at the same school on lithography with Abraham Hadad. Her paintings can be found in museums and collections in Greece and abroad, such as the National Gallery of Athens, the Greek Parliament, the Goulandris Foundation and more.
