Kostas Neofitidis

Born May, 1964 in Cyprus, Kostas Neofitidis studied architecture at the Politecnico in Milan from where he graduated in 1990. Three years later, he returned to his homeland where he revolutionized Cyprus’ nightlife scene, opening up a night-club as well as bars and restaurants. In 2003 he returned to his architectural roots with the design of detail oriented, contemporary luxury homes and work spaces. A visit to a beach in Thailand in 2005 became the catalyst for Neofitidis pursuing his lifelong passion—art. On that same beach one year later, he held his first art exhibit, “Art on the Beach.” He’s since gone on to hold other exhibits in Nicosia such as “Beach Stories,” “Clear Mind” and “A Balancing Act.” In 2013, he inaugurated his line, Kota Collections, with a range of limited edition, hand-knotted silk rugs made in Nepal. Kota Collections currently includes textiles, dinnerware and woven art all inspired by Neofitidis’ love of the sea and his daily, ashtanga yoga practice.
