Paula Sousa, the CEO and Creative Director of Ginger & Jagger, established the label in 2012. After a successful career as an interior designer, she founded the upholstery label, Munna, in 2008 before creating G&J. She says that she both felt a void in the market but also wanted to inspire people with, “A whole different poetic world. Perhaps Ginger & Jagger was born from that drive, to be transported to somewhere else, to feel wanderlust.”

The label is based in Porto, Portugal where it also finds its inspiration in the surrounding nature. The beautiful tangible, “haute couture” quality of the G&J items continually succeed in increasing its momentum and influential fan base; the large scale, sculptural designs can be found in luxury hotels, stunning private homes and exclusive boutiques worldwide—including the Dior boutiques in Vienna, Sydney, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait and Frankfurt.
