Álvaro Fernandes Andrade is an award-winning Portuguese architect who earned his degree from the Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto in 1998. His best-known work is the Pocinho High Performance Rowing Center in the Upper Douro Valley of Portugal. The Center is situated among, and architecturally inspired by, the vineyards and wine estates located in its environs.
