The only event of its kind in the Asia Pacific, Sydney Indesign brings the region’s leading suppliers of high end design together with top design brands and the global design community in a colourful 3-day celebration of events, installations, launches, presentations, talks and seminars, not to mention beautiful showroom displays.

Inspired by the knowledge that we are, for the majority of our working weeks, stuck behind our desks, Sydney Indesign aims to entice architects and designers out of their offices and onto the streets where they can meet, network and discover new designer brands and latest product releases.

Beautiful bright and sunny, Sydney is Australia’s most famous bay-side city. Spread across 6 design hubs, Sydney Indesign took over Sydney’s inner city precincts to showcase 300+ design brands and more than 70 exhibitors – many with flagship showrooms and designer retail spaces. Event goers could flag down a complimentary Sydney Indesign bus and ride the #SID15 design circuit, hopping on and off to visit their favourite showrooms and event spaces along the way.

Rolling out the red carpet, designers and suppliers alike put on a show to remember, bringing their products and brands to life with immersive, interactive and highly experiential installations that asked visitors to be led by their senses of smell, touch, sound, sight and even taste!

Responding to the theme of ‘Ritual’, Interface asked designers to create spaces that created a sense of Refuge – the ability to escape and be soothed, or Prospect – to engage and be stimulated. The results were tactile and inspiring. Photo courtesy of Interface
