Sic Gloria, directly meaning 'The Glory of" - a name originating from the renowned Latin phrase 'Sic transit Gloria mundi' included in Thomas à Kempis' ''Imitation of Christ'' and denoting the evanesce of worldly things. Being aware of the spiritual origin of the name given to their project, yet the founders and creators obtained the inspiration for the particular name, from a totally different source that struck their attention and inspired them, as they explain.
The name Sic Gloria was conceived by the couple while watching the film 'Rushmore', in which the particular phrase is used by the main actor. What was attracting for them was the fact that this single phrase manages to simultaneously convey both the joy and pain of life. Consequently, a meaningful name worth be given to meaningful creations.For the fans of limited edition products, Sic Gloria offers a moderate in size collection of hand-made accessories that add a little something to our sunglasses, creating a rather stylish effect. The products are made from superior quality leather coming in the earthy colors of tan, brown and creme with distinctive golden engraved details.
All products are to be used by both men and women, as their retro-like design does not provide any limitations in terms of sex, color-matching or even personal style.
