Nick Cave (born 1959; Fulton, Missouri, USA) is an American fabric sculptor, dancer, and performance artist. His signature work is his colourful fabric costumes called Soundsuits, which he deploys in performances. An artist of international renown, he has exhibited his work in numerous exhibitions across the world. He is currently the director of the graduate fashion program at School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
