Mark Shaw is a noted American photographer and film director. He is best known for his photographs of Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy, which he shot originally for LIFE magazine; later, Shaw was known as the Kennedys’ “unofficial” family photographer. Mark Shaw was also a renowned Fashion and Advertising photographer; his freelance assignments for LIFE magazine had him photographing some of the best-known celebrities of the 1950’s.
