Fan Ho (born 1937 in Shanghai) is a renowned Asian photographer, film director and actor. He lives and works between San Francisco, CA, and Hong Kong. Mostly self-taught in terms of photography, Ho has come to be known for is focus on the details of the lives of people, typically those living in large cities. Over his long career, he has received some 280 awards from international exhibitions and institutions, and has taught in several universities across the globe. In 2012, he was rated as one of the most influential Asian photographers by Invisible Photographer Asia, a platform for photography and visual art in Asia.
