Mobility is significant component of our urban lives and with that facet, we need products that help us maintain the constant motion without interrupting it. Our phones, our currency, our documents, our identities and our work moves with us wherever we go but our furniture doesn't, until now. The Norwegian industrial design agency, Frost Produkt was invited to participate at the Norwegian Prototypes exhibition in London where they were asked to design products that could fit into a hand luggage suitcase.
With a clear intention to stand out and 'fold' the envelope, they decided to focus on different ways to change the volume of circular shapes as they relate to each other. How they intersect, fold, expand and bend when applied to transportation became the pursuit of creating a series of products and furniture for the transient man or woman.
Here are a few of their creations shown at the London Design Festival.
