After the ''60 Second Adventures in Thought'' that looks at how the way in which we see the world has changed from the ancient Greeks to Albert Einstein as well as the ''60 Second Adventures in Religion'', the UK-based distance-learning and research OU / Open University has recently released six fast-paced animations under the title "Design in a Nutshell" that explain the six major movements in design history: Gothic Revival, Arts and Crafts, Bauhaus, Modernism, American Industrial Design and Postmodernism. Fifteen minutes are enough to give you a general idea of the design evolution from the 19th to the 20th centuries. And if you can’t decide if you’re more goth than modernist, after watching these short animations take the OU's quiz to discover your design alter-ego.
