For the collection’s media campaign, an all star line-up of international athletes has been photographed in black and white wearing the new designs including football stars Christiano Ronaldo and Brazilian national idol Neymar Jr., Russian tennis champion Maria Sharapova, basketball players Skylar Diggins and Kevin Durant, captain of the Chinese football national team Wu Hai Yan and American football player Colin Kaepernick. The fall 2015 Tech Pack women’s collection features vivid colours, a slimmer silhouette to that seen in previous collections and a reinterpretation of the hoodie boasting a dramatic cocoon-like hood, while the men’s line introduces a seasonal woodland camo print in various colour combinations.

Meanwhile, in Beijing, award-winning design studio Coordination Asia transformed a 1200-square-meter gallery space into THE NIKE STUDIO, a pop-up multi-purpose space built on the occasion of the World Athletic Championships held in the city in August 2015. In the vast retail and workout space, visitors had the opportunity to discover the brand’s new Holiday 15' collection. A sporty feel and references to track and field elements were deployed in an otherwise sleek and uplifting space that smoothly blended together retail areas, black-rendered workout halls, changing rooms and high-tech museum-like installations showcasing the new collection. Strong geometric volumes, dynamic linear shapes and wise and clever use of LED lighting added even more to the flow and energy of the space, which according to the designers was created to make visitors feel ‘‘fitter, faster and motivated.”
After the end of the games, the space was unfortunately closed; but hopefully we will see a permanent version of it somewhere in the world soon!
