Rooksana's originally from London and moved to Paris for what was supposed to be six months - it's now been seven years. She didn't stay for Paris' charms or the art or even the food, but she stayed because she hated it. She stayed because everyone loved it and she was determined to feel at least a glimmer of pleasure at living in her mother's birthplace. Rooksana is a freelance journalist and contributes to the New York Times, BBC Travel,Condé Nast Traveller, the Guardian, France Today, and Yatzer. She is also the Deputy Editor of the Paris edition of Luxos magazine. Wherever she goes and whatever she's doing, she tries to abide by the motto that the mind is like a parachute - it doesn't work unless it's open.
