Nick Jones of Soho House commissioned Tom Dixon, in 2007 to design his extended members club in Shoreditch, London's undisputedly edgiest address. This exclusive members club, is still one of my favorite works by Tom Dixon.
Shoreditch house was completed on July 2007.
The iconoclastic style of Tom Dixon's work plus his standing as one of Britain's most challenging and innovative designers was a perfect marriage between the venue and designer. At Shoreditch House integrity of the industrial architecture found in the original warehouse building with Tom's own eclectic aesthitic and custom pieces that allow members to enjoy a series of curated spaces each catering to the needs of an exclusive club.

WHAT'S COMING (Soho house updates)
Soho B&B / Spring 2009
Soho B&B (Bed & Brasserie) will open on Dean Street, central London, just around the corner from Soho House in spring 2009. The development will have 24 bedrooms ranging in size from small to medium and an all-day French brasserie on the ground floor. Soho B&B will be open to members and non-members.
Soho House West Hollywood / Mid 2009
In mid 2009, Soho House will open in West Hollywood at 9200 Sunset Boulevard – a penthouse offering 360 degree views over LA and the Hollywood Hills. With over 10,000 sq ft of in and outdoor space – members will have areas to eat, meet, drink and relax.
Soho Beach House Miami / Mid 2009
Soho Beach House Miami is due to open in Mid-Beach, Miami, in mid 2009. It is on the site of the Sovereign Hotel and, as well as a private members' club, it will also offer 44 bedrooms (including 3 rooftop suites), a large pool, cabanas, a Cecconi's restaurant, screening room and an expansive Cowshed spa. The design is best described as decadence and glamour in the sun - Miami's own version of the Riviera.
Soho House Berlin / Autumn 2009
Soho House Berlin, located in the Mitte District, will open in autumn 2009. Occupying over six floors, the House will feature bedrooms, a rooftop pool, Cowshed and cinema.
Soho House Chicago / Spring 2010
Soho House Chicago will open in spring 2010. Featuring bedrooms, rooftop pool, Cowshed, library, games room, expansive courtyard and a host of other facilities, the House will offer something completely new to those working in the creative and media industries in Chicago.
