Germaine Krull (Wilda-Poznań, East Prussia, 1897-Wetzlar, Germany, 1985) was a German photographer, activist and hotel owner. Born in an affluent family, Krull has spent most of ther life travelling and lived for many years in different countries including India, Brazil, Republic of Congo and Thailand. As a photographer, Krull is best known for her avant-garde photography books and her pioneering work in the field of photojournalism.
