A BRIEF INTRO TO YATZER

About Yatzer

Yatzer is a global online destination that allows readers to both discover and follow the most engaging creative projects and people in art, fashion, design, architecture and hospitality from around the world. Initially founded by Greek interior designer Costas Voyatzis in 2007, Yatzer has, since then, gone on to continuously increase the number of its followers, the quality of its content as well as its participation at the most exclusive creative events around the globe. Unlike other design blogs, Yatzer reflects an intimately curated ensemble of experiences, projects and products that unanimously stand for beauty, craftsmanship and sophistication. As our commitment to continuously hand select our ‘Yatzerized’ publications is a testament to our vision and the quality of work that we exude, Yatzer has been labeled as one of the best online destinations by world renowned publications.

Our readership consist of high end professionals, with vast spending power who travel frequently. They are not simply random situational surfers but a connected international community of decision makers and opinion leaders characterized by their strong personalities, refinement, enhanced intellectuality and a high degree of influential power among their personal and professional peer groups. Yatzer’s readership has until now been accumulated only by word-of-mouth and in short time reached an international audience due to the professional knowledge and well-known trend-scouting talents of its team, its unique and high quality content and great aesthetics.

Yatzer is promoted and communicated in select press magazines and exhibitions around the world, thus appealing to a wider target group and attracting even more qualified readers. Up to date Yatzer has received much media attention, both locally and internationally and is frequently contacted by international media for featuring it in their publications. Some honourable mentions include the following: Yatzer.com has been listed in THE FINANCIAL TIMES’ virtual chatter list in April 2010, in the TOP 5 international websites by the Italian magazine INTERNI Panorama in April 2011, in the BRITISH VOGUE as one of the ten online destinations for design and inspiration in November 2012, in the TOP 100 online destinations by VOGUE Netherlands in February 2013, in the TOP international websites by ELLE DECOR Italia in February 2014; meanwhile, at the 100th anniversary of the FRENCH edition of Architectural Digest in April 2011, Yatzer’s founder Costas Voyatzis was listed as one of the 100 most influential personalities in the design industry. Costas Voyatzis also introduced the city of Athens at the EUROPEAN LOUIS VUITTON City Guides 2013.

Designed to cut through the clutter, the redesigned website which was launched on 18th August 2015, affords access to our tried and tested favorites from the world of architecture, fashion and arts, the latest design and travel news, and word-of-mouth travel tips from our friends and partners.

About Costas Voyatzis

Costas Voyatzis is the founder of Yatzer, an international online magazine for architecture, design, travel and the arts, and Yatzerlab, a creative studio working on the intersection of design and marketing. Born in Piraeus, Greece, in 1980, he dabbled academically in Meteorology at the Physics University of Athens before switching to studying Interior Design. After graduation, he worked for a number of Greece’s leading interior design magazines as a stylist and trend forecaster, developing relationships with many international designers and manufacturers, and garnering acclaim for his unique perspective on design excellence and innovation. In 2007, he launched Yatzer with a vision of creating a single, high quality source of design information. What started as a personal blog – its name a wordplay on his surname (Vo-Yatzer) – soon became one of the best online destinations, earning Costas four years later a spot among Architectural Digest’s 100 most influential people in the design industry. In 2021, fuelled by his creative mind and communication skills, he founded Yatzerlab, an Athens-based studio that focuses on design-based marketing and branding across digital and analogue applications. Costas has further honed his experience as Curator of the Art Shop at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens and Jury member for the Editors' Choice Award at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, as well as numerous creative projects and collaborations around the world.
