Art is in the air.....and especially during the much anticipated ARTATHINA fair annually held in Athens,Greece. Since 1993 ART ATHINA, organized by the HellenicArt GalleriesAssociation aiming to promote Greek and international art, has been going on for 16 years now growing artier every year. For the 2010 fair the general director Alexandros J. Stanas, the Hellenic Art Galleries Association’s board of directors and D.art, the organizing company, presented the public with a wide selection of exhibitions and events taking place all over the city.
Once again the Faliro Pavilion (TaeKwonDo) where the main exhibition took place was transformed into a sparkling islet of art for four days during the 16th edition of ART-ATHINA 2010 (13-16 May 2010). 300 artists represented by 57 galleries from 10 countries attracted and impressed more than 15.000 visitors.
Yatzer had the honor to be part of this year's fair, with its own booth where visitors had the opportunity to meet the Yatzer Team in person! A poster with the YatzerEye designed by FernandoTukunduva and hundreds of stickers were available to the public.

The parallel exhibition Greek artists’ books: Contemporary artworks & editions, which was curated by Maria A. Angeli, managed to seduce us and take us into the magical fantasy world of a unique art library. Visitors had the chance to go through each handmade book only by wearing special white gloves for the shake of preserving and not damaging the precious books. Also, this year the Spyropoulos Foundation showcased the eight artists awarded with the Spyropoulos Award, given every year to young artists up to thirty years old. The Contemporary Greek Art Intistute was another point of reference to this year's fair. The Institute comes to continue and enhance the work of Nees Morfes gallery in recording and preserving Greek art since 1950.
Yatzer has decided to publish some of our favorite artworks that were presented during this year's fair. Take a deep breath and join us for an art overdose >>>
At this point I would personally like to thank all the people behind this amazing and so important fair which make it for all art lovers a thing to watch and look forward to every year. The organization was impeccable and the atmosphere of the whole event sensational. Organizers did their best to satisfy all the participants' needs in the best possible way. We can't wait for next year!
