What is a circus clown doing hanging off a cliff? Why would you take a drum kit up a mountain? Here are a few questions you probably never thought might cross your mind. Enter French adventure film director Seb Montaz.

You might remember his name from the breathtaking film ‘I Believe I Can Fly (Flight of the Frenchies)’ which we featured back in 2011. Now Seb Montaz and the Flying Frenchies are back and ready to share their adventures with the world in a new thrilling documentary. ‘Petit Bus Rouge’ is the latest film from the ever-exciting team, premiered to high praise at the recent Chamonix Adventure Festival, an annual gathering where adventurers, explorers, athletes and enthusiasts from all over the world come together to share tales and showcase their talents through film, photography, art and displays.

A great fan of adventure filming and photography and an avid alpinist himself, Seb Montaz and his daring friends take all of us (or the more faint-hearted) on an exhilarating ride that brings the circus to the highest of mountains. With heaps of talent and a bagful of wacky new ideas and tricks, the Frenchies embark on a long, adventurous journey into the unknown, challenging the realms of what is possible as they set out to defy every preconceived notion of balance and gravity out there. From Spain to Scotland, Brussels to Brévent, travelling by air, land and sea, they hit the road tumbling, flying, gliding and sliding their way all across Europe. High on adrenaline and low on hesitation, these Frenchies certainly know no limits, making ‘Petit Bus Rouge’ the most enthralling show you’ll have seen in a while. Free flight, highlining, paragliding, rock climbing; you name it, it’s there. There's never a dull moment on the film as we follow the gravity-defying adventures of a group of highliners, clowns, musicians, acrobats and climbers, watching them on the edge of our seats as they take on the steepest of slopes, conquer the highest of summits and take a terrifying leap into the void. Its breathtaking visuals and vertigo-inducing cinematography sensationally capture all the circus acts and crazy shenanigans of those fearless daredevils on the road.

Life is what you make it, and it seems that Seb Montaz and his friends have set out to make the most of it, daring to perform the wildest of feats. If you want to join them and experience the adventures of the Frenchies’ Flying Circus for yourself even from afar, you can download the film and board their ‘Petit Bus Rouge’ for the ride of your life.
