Despite her young years, Central Saint Martins’ Art graduate Ophelia Finke has already managed to make a name for herself through her exceptional ability to combine everyday objects in unconventional ways that tell no narrative but are open for individual interpretation. That also seems to be the case with her latest project in collaboration with London-based luxury brand McQ by Alexander McQueen. Staying in line with her current aesthetic vision while pushing her creative boundaries to new limits, Finke put together an entire laboratory that features a mix of her signature 3D installations, as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 15’ campaign. In the final result, shot by photographer Laurence Ellis, models Sunniva Wahl and Michael Sharp can be seen standing amidst the chaos while several people in hazmat suits tediously work around them under the strict supervision of the artist herself who is dressed in a scientist’s coat and a cowboy hat.

It’s this attention to detail that really makes Finke stand out amongst her peers and what earned her the opportunity to work with McQ, not once, but twice as she was previously invited to participate in one of the brand’s Instagram takeovers, last year. Other recent achievements include a number of solo exhibitions across Europe as well as having her work featured in the pages of British VogueTime Out London and the Catlin Guide.
