One such history-laden establishemnt is the Swiss family-owned Masseria Alchimia, a small boutique gesthouse with 10 studios, each with its own entrance and furnished with a selection of design classics, warm colours and natural materials. Understated, relaxed and thoughtfully designed by owner Caroline Groszer, Masseria Alchimia also features a selection of contemporary art pieces that changes periodically. As an ''accommodation only'' guesthouse, Masseria Alchimia does not serve breakfast; nevertheless, guests can easily supply themselves with locally-grown foodstuff from several small shops nearby.‎
