As we can typically expect from Hayon, his interior design work for Octium is innovative and original to the core.  Immediately upon approaching the giant golden doors with beautiful knobbed handles – you can’t help but feel you’re entering an exclusive ‘members-only’ space. After all, it’s for that very ‘feeling’ we get that has given Hayon the reputation for being one of the worlds most creative designers.  Each interior he creates is like exploring a totally different little world – almost as if we get a glimpse into the mad genius that is constantly running through Mr. Hayon’s mind.

Known for his love of beautiful, earthy materials, elements of Octium were custom designed using contrasting finishes like glossy lacquered woods, natural oak, ceramic, and luxurious fabrics. His exquisite eye for detail is unmatched, and what an appropriate project Octium was, as each jewelry item is unique and requiring of absolute perfect and specific lighting as well as display.

Flawlessly executing Hayon's “specialty” of fusing finely-crafted intricate objects with contemporary design – Octium’s interior not only compliments the beautiful jewelry but also transforms the visitors total experience, resulting in an immersion of utter sophistication.

About Jaime Hayón

Jaime Hayón Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. As a teenager, he submerged himself in skateboard culture and graffiti art, the foundation of the detailed, bold-yet-whimsical imagery so imminent in his work today. After studying industrial design in Madrid and Paris he joined Fabrica in 1997, the Benetton-funded design and communication academy, working closely with the legendary image-maker and agitator Oliverio Toscani. In a short time he was promoted from student to head of their Design Department, where he oversaw projects ranging from shop, restaurant and exhibition conception and design to graphics. Eight years later, Jaime broke out on his own, first with collections of designer toys, ceramics and furniture, followed by interior design and installation. His singular vision was first fully exposed in ‘Mediterranean Digital Baroque’ at London’s David Gill Gallery, an exciting mise en scène, largely executed in ceramic, followed by ‘Mon Cirque’, which traveled to Frankfurt, Barcelona, Paris and Kuala Lumpur. These collections put Jaime at the forefront a new wave of creators that blurred the lines between art, decoration and design and a renaissance in finely-crafted, intricate objects within the context of contemporary design culture.

Very prettily done, especially the lighting. The designer has clearly looked closely at the interiors work of Arne Jacobsen.

What more can i say? Who can create this kind of finely crafted which is simple as well as sophisticated interiors. If there are geniuses that can Jaime Hayon is one among them and you can see why. They are so orderly.Everything is in its place.Every object in the interior screams out loud β€œHey look at me!”.Stephanie Nahas has clearly stated it.Each room inside is like a new world.Yes its a different realm of course. What I like most here is the tables and chairs and Lighting. I dont think anybody would be there to argue with me on that point! Any customer will be overwhelmed by the settings here.Even if they dont buy anything from here they will get a huge satisfaction. They will certainly feel Vivek Reghunathan: They will certainly feel that they were in Heaven for one minute.

Thanks for alerting me to an expert. I like reading about Jaime Hayón, a Spanish based artist-designer. I know of people who love graffiti art. This article is helpful in promoting the designer. It is best to know about Octium Jewelry, a high-class jewelry concept store that showcases exclusive designer pieces from around the world.
